![elevAte 2025 Educator of the Year: Christine Williams, AIA.
Christine Williams’ impressive career bridges the endlessly challenging gap between the classroom and professional practice. Her 15-years in the architectural profession have yielded experience in the realities and complexities of “real world” practice that enable a much keener perspective on what students need to succeed.
Ms. Williams has taught Revit Building Information Modelling Fundamentals and Advanced Revit at UNM for 7 years. Most practitioners, like [Jury Chair, Mark Rohde], are well aware of how critical this aspect of technical expertise is and Christine has established herself as an invaluable resource for UNM and our professional community that benefits from students well prepared to begin their careers in our offices.
Many heartfelt testimonials from grateful students attest to her passion, guidance, and advice in the classroom and beyond as they chart their career trajectories. We, the jury, as practitioners in this community, applaud Christine’s contribution and the valuable dimension she adds to the UNM Architectural education.
